Canon ImagePRESS impresses
Print heavyweight Canon is enjoying significant demand for its imagePRESS C800 series, with more than 1400 units sold in the ten months it has been available.
The success of imagePRESS has contributed to Canon’s dominance in the European cutsheet colour production press market, taking the leading share in the last quarter of 2014.
The series is made up of the 70ppm C700 and the 80ppm C800, and both models boast a number of advancements from the imagePRESS C7011VP(S), including consistently vivid (CV) toner, compact registration technology (CRT), auto correct colour tone (ACCT), and a vertical cavity surface emitting laser.
ImagePRESS user and managing director of commercial printer, Print by Design, comments: “Seven years ago, I was one of the first Canon imagePRESS owners in the UK. I’ve had a number of models since and for me the C700 is the best yet – the print quality is superb, the back-to-back registration is stunning and consistently so, and because of its small footprint, I’ve saved a significant amount of money on rent and rates.”

Other customers in both commercial and in-house print environments experiencing success with the C800 series are commenting on the superior quality of colour reproduction, the adaptability, and excellent efficiency.
Director of professional print solutions for Canon Europe says: The remarkable sales of the series to date and the subsequent wave of positive feedback we’ve received, confirm that Canon has again delivered on its promise to help customers to meet the changing demands of their own customers and to maintain a competitive advantage.
“To add even greater value, we’ve also worked with Fogra to have the series certified as a FograCert Validation Printing System.
